There are regular guided walks in the area. Take a look in the events calendar for upcoming walks.

Every Monday there is a Kirkby Stephen Welcome Walk. Meet at The Cloisters in the Market Square at 11am for an historic walk around Kirkby Stephen with Blue Badge Guide Jo Koegh. The walk is just over an hour and costs £5 each.

Dr. Stephen Walker, researcher and writer of Nine Standards: Ancient Cairn or Modern Folly will be happy to accompany interested groups to Nine Standards or do presentations.  We will be pleased to pass on your contact details so you can make arrangements with him. Richard Tolley is a qualified Mountain Leader and member of Kirkby Stephen Mountain Rescue Team. With Richard you can arrange an itinerary on the local fells or further afield, for anything from a single day to a fortnight. There is more information on his Lake District Guided Walking website

Arrangements that have been made in the past have included orienteering, introductions to hillwalking, open access, industrial heritage, the Poetry Walk, historical tours of Kirkby Stephen, Pennine Journey and Coast to Coast guides and disabled walks.
